Eleven hours on the road yesterday.
The funniest moment: the woman at the drive thru window in Dallas asked, "Are those your kids back there? Oh wait. Are those dogs?"
Though crossing the Boeuf River in Louisiana, and then seeing a sign for Hamburger Happiness was a close 2nd.
The loveliest moment: finding a park in Arlington with woodsy trails for a walk with the dogs.
And frankly, I am sorely disappointed with the Texas landscape. I had been promised flat, uninterrupted land as far as the eye could see, with tumbleweed and the like. Instead I got rolling hills, bluffs, and trees. I better see some endless prairie between here and el paso or else...
