1/2 moon bay.
mike & i went over the hills to half moon bay for a couple of days earlier this week. knowing we would spend our time in our room, we got one right on the water. for those who have not been, half moon bay is a peaceful town, just 30 miles south of san francisco on the coast. it is most often covered in fog, but we got a day of sun. mike spends most of his time in bed these days, and this was a perfect place for such. i did, as i usually do, get sucked into the decadence of cable, and watched several bad movies i hadn't seen before. i even got mike to watch a couple with me.

| our room had a name. and it was true. |
 |
| the first day's view from our window. |
 |
| the second day's view. we were in the clouds that day. |
 |
| but the sun peeked out at us as we left to go back over the hills to redwood city. |

Ha! I wonder if Mike remembers my 13th birthday sleep over triple feature of Moonraker, The Last Starfighter, and...ICE PIRATES. As I recall, we only watched Moonraker and Ice Pirates, even though Mike kept saying The Last Starfighter was really good. I eventually did watch it and, of course, Mike was right. But Ice Pirates.....that was a bad movie (although brief nudity and crude humor worked well for us 13 year olds). :-)
Amy and Mike ... this is my first time on this site. It's so beautiful. The pictures, the words, the three of you, everything. This half moon bay post. It is so good to think of you all there, able to be there, in a room near the water. thank you for letting me see this. much love, peter I.
