It seems so Vosburg-Casey to see a Conga line led by a very enthusiastic boy! Made me smile.
I would love to know who the other people are in the pics - if that isn't too much to ask. I'm so happy for you - and especially for Mike and his family and friends - that you're able to make this trip. I know it means a lot to everybody, and that important memories are being made while important - and unimportant - last thoughts, wishes, and words of love are being exchanged. A friend of mine died very suddenly and unexpectedly in May, without having any chance to do any of what you are doing now and what Mike has been and will be doing. She simply didn't know she was very ill, was put on a respirator and sedated and never woke up again. It was very hard for some of her family members, especially a brother who lived out of state and hadn't seen her recently or all that often. He wanted to awaken her from the sedation before removing life support, so they could say their good byes, but the docs talked him out of it because of her condition. So, I know that nobody wants to make the kind of trip you're making, but I think that given the awful circumstances of Mike's terrible illness and impending death, it is a blessing for all that you actually are able to do it. Love you and think of you many times a day. Charlotta
It is so great that Jeff and mike got a chance to hang out. The picture of them hugging breaks my heart.
